Steve built something amazing when he built Apple.
Apple was how I supported myself years ago, and it’s a big part of how I support myself today. When I was an employee, the benefits were second to none, the pay was great and I met lots of wonderful people.
But that wasn’t all. The design culture he created within Apple helped me understand what design should be. It’s about simplicity and focusing only on what matters. It’s about always being curious and inspired. It’s about caring.
That belief carried over to every little part of what I saw from Apple, and I’m going to keep finding ways of putting that in everything I create.
