Pricing Information Made Simple
I want it to be easier for you (my hopeful, blushing client) to get the information you want without having to jump through hoops, so I thought it would be great to share openly some information on my pricing. What you see below is a common scope for projects I’ve done.
One thing to keep in mind that’s absolutely imperative: a project’s price will vary based on your needs—I don’t have flat, one-size-fits-all quotes. If I did, one or both us will always lose since most projects aren’t the same. Plus, one-size-fits-all is bound to make someone’s hips look terrible. Am I wrong, Dude?
If your budget is different than what you see below, that’s okay. If your budget is higher, that just means I’ll be able to create a better, more detailed site or app for you. If your budget is a little lower, that’s okay, too. Every project is different, and I’d still like to see how I could help you.
Site Redesigns
Typically, a site redesign consists of the following things:
- Planning, research and discovery (1k)
- Information architecture (1k-3k)
- Design (2k-3k)
- Building your site (1k-4k)
For this, my assumption is that you’ll want:
- A great homepage with a goal-oriented design
- A way to share your most recent content (a blog or portfolio)
- A page for contacting you
- A page that shares something about you or your company’s vision
- Savvy social integration with Facebook, Twitter, etc.
- A content management system (WordPress, ExpressionEngine, etc.)
It also assumes that you’ve already got a logo that you’d like to use. If you don’t, that’s just fine—I love creating them.
Total cost: About 5k to 11k
iOS Apps
Typically, an iOS app design consists of the following things:
- Planning, research and discovery (1k-3k)
- Information architecture (3k-5k)
- Design (4k-10k)
- Building & debugging (2k-20k)
Building the app depends entirely on the scope and the app’s goals, so development can (wildly) vary. Design costs will change based on whether this app will be deployed on both iPhone/iPod and iPad.
Total cost: About 10k to 38k
