I’ve updated my Flickr to show some photos from my good friends Hans and Christyn’s wedding! Highlights include me capturing a mob fight with the groomsmen (it was friendly!), earning the title of “photo ninja,” and generally sweating to death in such hot weather. You can view the whole set on Flickr.

Thursday, July 31st, 2008How to Hang Toilet Paper
Wednesday, July 30th, 2008
I’m glad some smart designer offered up a guide to solving this “problem.” Current Configuration has kindly let everyone know how to properly hang a toilet paper and they have lots of neat (read: funny) graphics for supporting their case. They even provide you with a printable brochure! I love nerdy little information graphics, and this is a great addition to the collection.
So…are you an over or under hanger?
NIN Live (Seattle & Pemberton)
Monday, July 28th, 2008I’ve found a few YouTube videos of the most recent NIN tour and felt like sharing. Even though the tour kicked off only a few days ago, lots of surprisingly good fan videos are beginning to surface.
This one is of “Echoplex,” and features a seriously cool way of setting a drum beat. Don’t want to spoil it for you. More videos after the break.

That’s a sure fire way for me to…get a new keyboard.
The Dark Knight
Sunday, July 20th, 2008I was really happy to be able to see The Dark Knight on opening night. Being a longtime fan of Batman and being part of the superhero generation, I was pretty much foaming at the mouth when I found out there would be a sequel to Batman Begins.
The movie was one of the best superhero movies I’ve ever seen. And surprisingly slim when it came to cheesy dialogue, which seems to plague lots of otherwise good superhero movies (sorry, Iron Man). The makeup and special effects were nothing short of incredible. This is especially true with our villains. And the truck chase scene you saw in the previews was far more amazing than I could have imagined—it was brilliant.
I’d like to make special note of Heath Ledger’s acting here as well. Not because of his death just before the movie’s release, but because of how great it actually was. He played very well what I thought to be a dark and crazy villain. He nailed the mannerisms of The Joker down to the last little detail.
They also seemed to handle multiple villains really well. Considering Spiderman 3’s approach to multiple villains, The Dark Knight took the cake and drank Spiderman 3’s milkshake. The villains were pretty well developed, and they didn’t really seem to compete for screen time or seem really flat. My only criticisms were that a certain villain was in the movie for such a short period of time, I wondered why they were even there. Perhaps to avoid where Spiderman 3 fell short.
I can’t wait to see this in IMAX!
The best room ever?
Friday, July 11th, 2008
I want this for my room, and maybe I’ll share it with future children!
Heading to North Carolina for a week, so updates will likely be non-existent. See you soon!
I’ve been rather active lately on Twitter, and will make an effort to have those posts ported over to here.
I find that I’m posting in lots of places, and will also be making a concerted effort to consolidate all of that information here. Give me a little time.
Google’s “Skip Intro” Wins the Game
Monday, July 7th, 2008I was searching for a site and came across something that made me really happy: Google provided a link to skip the Flash-based intro to a site. After my heart skipping a beat—those things can get really annoying, just let me get to the site!—I tried a few more very successful searches. I wonder if this is a result of Google and Adobe getting friendly with their Flash.
Either way, it’s heavenly.
The Dark Knight: First 6 Minutes
Sunday, July 6th, 2008In case you haven’t seen it, someone happened to capture it with a handheld camera. For those of you who are quality snobs or don’t want to spoil the movie, I’d suggest skipping out on this one.
